Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information The Go Network ("TGN," "we," "us") collects through thegonetwork.org, how we use it, and who we share it with. It applies to everyone who visits the site or uses any of its tools, wherever you're located.
This page replaces the site's previous privacy policy in full.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy covers thegonetwork.org and the tools on it: the practitioner directory and connection forms, the Find Your Path self-assessment, our prayer and newsletter sign-up, the Donate page, and our general site analytics.
Questions about this policy, or requests about your information, can be sent to info@thegonetwork.org.
2. Information we collect
Connection and contact form submissions. When you fill out a form on a practitioner's profile, in the Directory, or through Get Involved, we collect your name, email address, and the message you submit.
Self-assessment responses (Find Your Path). The tool is built directly into our website, and your answers are stored in our website's database. Depending on how the tool is set up, you may also be asked for your name and email so we can send you your result. If we later move the assessment to a different plugin or platform, we'll update this policy to name the new provider.
Newsletter and prayer list sign-up. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if requested, your name.
Donations. If you give through our Donate page, your payment is processed by Stripe. See Section 4 below for how that works.
Website usage information. Like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information when you visit, such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), browser and device type, and which pages you view, through Google Analytics.
Practitioner and facilitator profile information. Mentors, certified coaches, process providers, and cohort facilitators listed in our directory or on Mission Target pages provide their own name, photo, bio, and contact information, which we publish. That contact information may include a phone number, which practitioners choose to share so you can reach them directly.
We do not knowingly collect information from children. See Section 8.
3. How we use your information
- Connect you with a mentor, coach, process provider, or cohort facilitator when you request it
- Send you the result of the self-assessment, if contact information is collected for that purpose
- Send newsletter and prayer updates you've signed up for
- Process donations
- Understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- Respond to questions sent to info@thegonetwork.org
4. How and with whom we share your information
With the practitioner or facilitator you contact. This is the core of how our directory works, so we want to be direct about it: when you submit a form to connect with a mentor, coach, process provider, or cohort facilitator, we send your name, email, and message directly to that person so they can respond to you. We also keep a copy of that submission ourselves, so we can follow up and make sure the connection went well.
Mentors, certified coaches, process providers, and cohort facilitators are independent practitioners. They are not employees or agents of The Go Network. We ask everyone listed in our directory to handle your information responsibly and in good faith, but once your information has been shared with them, we do not control, and are not responsible for, how they store, use, or further share it. If you have concerns about how a specific practitioner is handling your information, we encourage you to raise it with them directly, and you're welcome to let us know as well.
With service providers who help us run the site. We use a small number of third-party services to operate thegonetwork.org:
- Email service provider. We use a third-party platform to send newsletter, prayer list, and related email communications. That provider processes your email address on our behalf.
- Stripe. Donations made through our Donate page are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number or other sensitive payment details; that information goes directly to Stripe. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and usage. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information, to anyone, for any purpose.
We may also share information if required to by law, or to protect the safety of our participants or the public.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our site uses cookies and similar technology through Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning off cookies may affect how some parts of the site function.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep the information you submit for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, for example, to complete a connection, respond to a donation, or maintain your newsletter subscription. If you'd like us to delete information tied to you sooner, contact us and we will do so unless we're required to keep it for legal reasons.
7. Your choices
You can:
- Ask what information we have about you
- Ask us to correct it
- Ask us to delete it
- Unsubscribe from any newsletter or prayer list email at any time, using the link in the email
To do any of these, email info@thegonetwork.org. We'll respond within a reasonable time. This applies to everyone who contacts us, regardless of where you live; some states also provide additional statutory privacy rights, and residents of those states can reach us the same way.
8. Children's privacy
Our site is intended for adults, primarily ministry leaders, mentors, coaches, and those exploring involvement with The Go Network. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we've inadvertently collected information from a child, we'll delete it.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, but no website or online service can guarantee complete security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or our tools change. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. Material changes, such as a new email or assessment provider, will be reflected here directly.
